공소청법 제11조(공소청의 장)

① 공소청에 검찰총장을 둔다.

② 검찰총장은 공소청의 사무를 맡아 처리하고 검사사무를 총괄하며 공소청, 각급 공소청 및 지청의 공무원을 지휘ㆍ감독한다.

③ 검찰총장의 임기는 2년으로 하며, 중임(重任)할 수 없다.
