도선법 제18조(도선)

① 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 선장은 해당 도선구에 입항ㆍ출항하기 전에 미리 가능한 통신수단 등으로 도선사에게 도선을 요청하여야 한다.

② 도선사가 제1항에 따른 도선 요청을 받으면 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우 외에는 이를 거절하여서는 아니 된다.

③ 제1항에 따라 도선 요청을 한 선박의 선장은 해양수산부령으로 정하는 승선ㆍ하선 구역에서 도선사를 승선ㆍ하선시켜야 하며, 도선사는 이에 따라야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23>

(3) The^ð더 master매스터 of어^v브 a어 vessel^v베슬 that^ð댓 has해즈 made메이드 a어 pilotage파일라티지 request^r리퀘스트 under언더 paragraph패^r러그^r래^f프 (1) shall섈 have해^v브 the^ð더 pilot파일럿 board보드 and앤드 disembark디셈바크 in인 the^ð더 boarding보딩 and앤드 disembarking디셈바킹 area에^r리아 prescribed프^r리스크^r라이브드 by바이 Ordinance오더넌스 of어^v브 the^ð더 Ministry미너스트^r리 of어^v브 Oceans오우션즈 and앤드 Fisheries,^f피셔^r리즈 and앤드 the^ð더 pilot파일럿 shall섈 comply컴플라이 therewith.^ð데어위^ð드

④ 선장은 도선사가 선박에 승선한 경우 정당한 사유가 없으면 그에게 도선을 하게 하여야 한다.

(4) Where웨어 a어 pilot파일럿 has해즈 boarded보디드 a어 vessel,^v베슬 the^ð더 master매스터 shall섈 have해^v브 the^ð더 pilot파일럿 perform퍼^f폼 pilotage파일라티지 unless언레스 there^ð데어 are아 justifiable저스터^f파이어블 grounds.그^r라운즈

⑤ 도선사가 선박을 도선하고 있는 경우에도 선장은 그 선박의 안전 운항에 대한 책임을 면제받지 아니하고 그 권한을 침해받지 아니한다.
