북한인권법 제5조(북한인권증진자문위원회)

① 북한인권증진 관련 정책에 관한 자문을 위하여 통일부에 북한인권증진자문위원회(이하 "위원회"라 한다)를 둔다.

② 위원회는 위원장 1명을 포함한 10명 이내의 국회 추천 인사로 구성하고 위원장은 위원 중에서 호선한다. 국회가 위원을 추천함에 있어서는 대통령이 소속되거나 소속되었던 정당의 교섭단체와 그 외 교섭단체가 2분의 1씩 동수로 추천하여 통일부장관이 위촉한다.

③ 위원회의 구성 및 운영 등에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
