예금자보호법 제1조(목적)

이 법은 금융회사가 파산 등의 사유로 예금등을 지급할 수 없는 상황에 대처하기 위하여 예금보험제도 등을 효율적으로 운영함으로써 예금자등을 보호하고 금융제도의 안정성을 유지하는 데에 이바지함을 목적으로 한다.
