은행법 제54조(임직원에 대한 제재)

① 금융위원회는 은행의 임원이 이 법 또는 이 법에 따른 규정ㆍ명령 또는 지시를 고의로 위반하거나 은행의 건전한 운영을 크게 해치는 행위를 하는 경우에는 금융감독원장의 건의에 따라 해당 임원의 업무집행 정지를 명하거나 주주총회에 그 임원의 해임을 권고할 수 있으며, 금융감독원장으로 하여금 경고 등 적절한 조치를 하게 할 수 있다.

② 금융감독원장은 은행의 직원이 이 법 또는 이 법에 따른 규정ㆍ명령 또는 지시를 고의로 위반하거나 은행의 건전한 운영을 크게 해치는 행위를 하는 경우에는 면직ㆍ정직ㆍ감봉ㆍ견책 등 적절한 문책처분을 할 것을 해당 은행의 장에게 요구할 수 있다.
