장애인복지법 제14조(장애인의 날)

①장애인에 대한 국민의 이해를 깊게 하고 장애인의 재활의욕을 높이기 위하여 매년 4월 20일을 장애인의 날로 하며, 장애인의 날부터 1주간을 장애인 주간으로 한다.

②국가와 지방자치단체는 장애인의 날의 취지에 맞는 행사 등 사업을 하도록 노력하여야 한다.
