저작권법 제53조(저작권의 등록)

①저작자는 다음 각 호의 사항을 등록할 수 있다. <개정 2021.5.18>

②저작자가 사망한 경우 저작자의 특별한 의사표시가 없는 때에는 그의 유언으로 지정한 자 또는 상속인이 제1항 각 호의 규정에 따른 등록을 할 수 있다.

③제1항 및 제2항에 따라 저작자로 실명이 등록된 자는 그 등록저작물의 저작자로, 창작연월일 또는 맨 처음의 공표연월일이 등록된 저작물은 등록된 연월일에 창작 또는 맨 처음 공표된 것으로 추정한다. 다만, 저작물을 창작한 때부터 1년이 지난 후에 창작연월일을 등록한 경우에는 등록된 연월일에 창작된 것으로 추정하지 아니한다. <개정 2009.4.22, 2023.8.8>
