주민등록법 제14조(가족관계등록신고 등에 따른 주민등록의 정리)

①이 법에 따른 신고사항과 「가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률」에 따른 신고사항이 같으면 「가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률」에 따른 신고로써 이 법에 따른 신고를 갈음한다. <개정 2007.5.17>

②주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 제1항에 따라 이 법에 따른 신고에 갈음되는 「가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률」에 따른 신고를 받으면 그에 따라 주민등록을 하거나 등록사항을 정정 또는 말소하여야 한다. <개정 2007.5.17, 2019.12.3>

③신고대상자의 「가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률」 제4조 및 제4조의2에 따른 신고지(이하 "가족관계등록 신고지"라 한다)와 주민등록지가 다를 경우에 가족관계등록 신고지의 시장ㆍ구청장 또는 읍ㆍ면장(같은 법 제4조의2제1항에 따른 가족관계등록관을 포함한다. 이하 같다)이 같은 법에 따른 신고를 받아 가족관계등록부의 기록사항을 변경하면 지체 없이 그 신고사항을 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 통보하여야 하며, 그 통보를 받은 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 이에 따라 주민등록을 하거나 등록사항을 정정 또는 말소하여야 한다. <개정 2007.5.17, 2009.4.1, 2016.12.2, 2019.12.3>
