Special Act on the Improvement of Teachers' Status and the Protection of Their Educational Activities, Article 22 (Teacher Protection Mutual Aid Programs)

① 교육감은 교육활동과 관련된 각종 분쟁이나 소송 등으로부터 교원을 보호하기 위하여 공제사업(이하 "교원보호공제사업"이라 한다)을 운영ㆍ관리할 수 있다.

② 교원보호공제사업의 범위에는 다음 각 호의 사항이 포함된다. <개정 2025.1.31>

2. 교육활동 침해행위로 발생한 상해ㆍ상담ㆍ심리치료 비용 지원(상담ㆍ심리치료 비용 지원의 경우 교육활동 침해행위로 인하여 병가 또는 휴직을 사용한 이후 직무에 복귀하는 경우를 포함한다) 및 교원이 위협을 받는 경우 보호 서비스 지원

3. 교원의 정당한 교육활동과 관련하여 발생한 법률적 분쟁에 대한 민사상 또는 형사상 소송비용의 지원

③ 교육감은 「학교안전사고 예방 및 보상에 관한 법률」 제15조에 따른 학교안전공제회 등에 교원보호공제사업의 운영을 위탁하여 수행할 수 있다. 이 경우 교육감은 소속 교원의 의견을 충분히 수렴하여야 한다.
