국민건강보험법 제78조(보험료의 납부기한)

①제77조제1항 및 제2항에 따라 보험료 납부의무가 있는 자는 가입자에 대한 그 달의 보험료를 그 다음 달 10일까지 납부하여야 한다. 다만, 직장가입자의 보수 외 소득월액보험료 및 지역가입자의 보험료는 보건복지부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 분기별로 납부할 수 있다. <개정 2013.5.22, 2024.2.6>

② 공단은 제1항에도 불구하고 납입 고지의 송달 지연 등 보건복지부령으로 정하는 사유가 있는 경우 납부의무자의 신청에 따라 제1항에 따른 납부기한부터 1개월의 범위에서 납부기한을 연장할 수 있다. 이 경우 납부기한 연장을 신청하는 방법, 절차 등에 필요한 사항은 보건복지부령으로 정한다. <신설 2013.5.22>
