여권법 시행령 제44조의2(여권정보연계시스템의 구축ㆍ운영 등)

① 법 제23조의2제1항에 따른 여권정보연계시스템(이하 "여권정보연계시스템"이라 한다)을 이용하려는 자는 이용목적, 이용범위 및 안전관리대책을 명시하여 외교부장관에게 여권정보연계시스템의 이용을 신청해야 한다.

② 제1항에 따라 이용신청을 받은 외교부장관은 다음 각 호의 사항을 심사한 결과 여권정보연계시스템을 이용할 필요가 없다고 판단하는 경우에는 여권정보연계시스템의 이용을 거부할 수 있다.

③ 외교부장관은 법 제23조의2제3항 본문에 따라 여권 명의인의 신원 확인에 필요한 정보 제공의 요청이 있는 경우에는 여권정보연계시스템을 이용하여 모바일 여권정보 증명서비스(여권 명의인이 휴대전화 등 이동통신단말장치를 이용하여 여권 사진ㆍ한글성명ㆍ로마자성명ㆍ여권번호ㆍ주민등록번호 등을 증명할 수 있는 서비스를 말한다. 이하 같다)를 통하여 해당 정보를 제공할 수 있다. <개정 2025.3.25>

④ 외교부장관은 법 제23조의2제3항 단서에 따라 증명서를 발급하는 경우에는 「민원 처리에 관한 법률」 제2조제8호에 따른 무인민원발급창구 또는 같은 법 제12조의2제3항에 따른 통합전자민원창구를 통하여 여권정보증명서(여권 명의인의 한글성명ㆍ로마자성명ㆍ여권번호ㆍ주민등록번호 등이 기재된 문서를 말한다. 이하 같다)를 발급할 수 있다. <신설 2025.3.25>

⑤ 국가기관, 지방자치단체, 공공단체, 사회단체, 기업체 등에서 그 업무 수행을 위하여 여권 명의인의 신원을 확인할 필요가 있을 때에는 여권(주민등록번호 증명이 필요한 경우에는 여권정보증명서를 포함한다) 또는 모바일 여권정보 증명서비스를 통해 확인할 수 있다. <신설 2025.3.25>
