유아교육법 제20조(교직원의 구분)

①유치원에는 교원으로 원장ㆍ원감ㆍ수석교사 및 교사를 두되, 대통령령으로 정하는 일정 규모 이하의 유치원에는 원감을 두지 아니할 수 있다. <개정 2010.3.24, 2011.7.25>

②유치원에는 교원외에 계약의사, 영양사, 간호사 또는 간호조무사, 행정직원 등을 둘 수 있다. <개정 2021.3.23>

③유치원에 두는 교원과 직원(이하 "교직원"이라 한다)의 정원에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정하고, 배치기준은 제18조에 따른 지도ㆍ감독 기관이 정하며, 교육부장관은 교원의 정원에 관한 사항을 매년 국회에 보고하여야 한다. <개정 2025.3.18>
