유아교육법 제21조(교직원의 임무)

①원장은 유치원 업무를 총괄하고 민원 처리를 책임지며, 소속 교직원을 지도ㆍ감독하고 해당 유치원의 유아를 교육한다. <개정 2010.3.24, 2021.3.23, 2023.9.27>

②원감은 원장을 보좌하여 유치원 업무를 관리하고 해당 유치원의 유아를 교육하며, 원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 그 직무를 대행한다. 다만, 원감을 두지 아니하는 유치원은 원장이 미리 지명한 교사(수석교사를 포함한다)가 그 직무를 대행한다. <개정 2010.3.24, 2011.7.25, 2021.3.23>

③ 수석교사는 교사의 교수ㆍ연구활동을 지원하며, 유아를 교육한다. <신설 2011.7.25>

⑤행정직원 등 직원은 법령에서 정하는 바에 따라 유치원의 행정사무와 그 밖의 사무를 담당한다. <개정 2011.7.25, 2012.1.26>
