평생교육법 제10조(평생교육진흥위원회의 설치)

① 평생교육진흥정책에 관한 주요사항을 심의하기 위하여 교육부장관 소속으로 평생교육진흥위원회(이하 "진흥위원회"라 한다)를 둔다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2013.3.23>

(1) A어 Lifelong라이^f플롱 Education에저케이션 Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee커미티 (hereinafter히^r리내^f프터 referred^r러^f퍼드 to투 as애즈 the^ð더 "Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee")커미티 shall섈 be비 established이스태블리시트 under언더 the^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 Education에저케이션 to투 deliberate딜리버^r럿 on안 important임포턴트 matters매터즈 concerning컨서닝 policies팔러시즈 for^f포 promoting프^r러모우팅 lifelong라이^f플롱 education.에저케이션

② 진흥위원회는 다음 각 호의 사항을 심의한다. <개정 2023.4.18, 2025.11.11>

(2) The^ð더 Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee커미티 shall섈 deliberate딜리버^r럿 on안 the^ð더 following^f팔로잉 matters:매터즈

③ 진흥위원회는 위원장을 포함하여 20인 이내의 위원으로 구성한다.

(3) The^ð더 Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee커미티 shall섈 consist컨시스트 of어^v브 not낫 more모 than^ð댄 20 members,멤버즈 including인클루딩 the^ð더 chairperson.체어퍼슨

④ 진흥위원회의 위원장은 교육부장관으로 하고, 위원은 평생교육과 관련된 관계 부처 차관, 평생교육ㆍ장애인교육과 관련된 전문가 등 평생교육에 관한 전문지식 및 경험이 풍부한 사람 중에서 위원장이 위촉한다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2013.3.23, 2016.5.29, 2021.3.23>

(4) The^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 Education에저케이션 shall섈 be비 the^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 of어^v브 the^ð더 Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee,커미티 and앤드 its잇츠 members멤버즈 shall섈 be비 commissioned커미션드 by바이 the^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 from^f프^r럼 among어멍 persons퍼슨즈 with위^ð드 extensive익스텐시^v브 expertise엑스퍼티즈 and앤드 experience익스피^r리언스 in인 lifelong라이^f플롱 education,에저케이션 such서치 as애즈 vice^v바이스 ministers미너스터즈 of어^v브 relevant^r렐러^v번트 ministries미니스트^r리즈 concerned컨선드 with위^ð드 lifelong라이^f플롱 education에저케이션 and앤드 experts엑스펏츠 in인 lifelong라이^f플롱 education에저케이션 and앤드 education에저케이션 for^f포 persons퍼슨즈 with위^ð드 disabilities.디서빌러티즈

⑤ 진흥위원회의 구성ㆍ운영에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.

(5) Matters매터즈 necessary네서세^r리 for^f포 the^ð더 composition캄퍼지션 and앤드 operation아퍼^r레이션 of어^v브 the^ð더 Promotion프^r러모우션 Committee커미티 shall섈 be비 prescribed프^r리스크^r라이브드 by바이 Presidential프^r레저덴실 Decree.디크^r리
