국회입법조사처법 제4조(처장)

①입법조사처의 장(이하 "처장"이라 한다)은 정무직으로 하고, 보수는 차관의 보수와 동액으로 한다.

②처장은 그 사무를 처리함에 있어서 전문성을 확보하고 중립성을 유지하여야 한다.

(2) In인 handling핸들링 the^ð디 affairs어^f페어즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 Research^r리서치 Service,서^v비스 the^ð더 Chief치^f프 shall섈 secure시큐어 expertise엑스퍼티즈 and앤드 maintain메인테인 neutrality.누트^r랠러티

③처장은 의장의 감독을 받아 입법조사처의 사무를 통할하고, 소속공무원을 지휘ㆍ감독한다. 다만, 입법조사처 관련 사무 중 인사행정ㆍ예산회계ㆍ국유재산관리ㆍ물품관리ㆍ비상계획ㆍ공직자재산등록 등에 관하여 「국회사무처법」ㆍ「국가공무원법」ㆍ「국가재정법」ㆍ「국유재산법」 그 밖의 다른 법령이 국회사무처 또는 국회사무총장의 권한에 속하는 사무로 규정한 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다.
