기상법 제35조의6(기상과학관의 설립ㆍ운영)

① 국가 또는 지방자치단체는 기상과학에 관한 지식을 보급하고 기상업무에 대한 홍보 등을 촉진하기 위하여 기상과학관을 설립ㆍ운영할 수 있다.

② 제1항에 따라 기상과학관을 설립ㆍ운영하고자 하는 지방자치단체의 장은 설립 타당성에 관한 사전평가를 실시한 후 기상청장과 협의를 거쳐야 한다. <신설 2023.2.14>

③ 국가는 제1항에 따라 지방자치단체의 장이 기상과학관을 설립ㆍ운영하는 경우에는 예산의 범위에서 그 비용의 전부 또는 일부를 지원할 수 있다. <개정 2023.2.14>

④ 제1항부터 제3항까지에서 규정한 사항 외에 기상과학관의 설립ㆍ운영, 사전평가 및 협의 절차와 방법 등에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다. <개정 2023.2.14>
