소비자기본법 제24조(정책위원회의 구성 등)

①정책위원회는 위원장 2명을 포함한 25명 이내의 위원으로 구성한다. <개정 2017.10.31>

(2) The^ð더 chairpersons체어퍼슨즈 shall섈 be비 the^ð더 Prime프^r라임 Minister미너스터 and앤드 a어 person퍼슨 commissioned커미션드 by바이 the^ð더 President프^r레저덴트 from^f프^r럼 among어멍 persons퍼슨즈 with위^ð드 extensive익스텐시^v브 knowledge날러지 and앤드 experience익스피^r리언스 in인 consumer컨수머 issues.이슈즈

③위원은 관계 중앙행정기관의 장 및 제38조의 규정에 따른 한국소비자원의 원장(이하 "원장"이라 한다)과 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 자 중에서 국무총리가 위촉하는 자가 된다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2017.10.31>

(3) The^ð더 members멤버즈 shall섈 be비 the^ð더 heads헤즈 of어^v브 relevant^r렐러^v번트 central센트^r럴 administrative어드미너스트^r레이티^v브 agencies,에이전시즈 the^ð더 President프^r레저덴트 of어^v브 the^ð더 Korea코^r리아 Consumer컨수머 Agency에이전시 under언더 Article아터클 38 (hereinafter히^r리내^f프터 referred^r러^f퍼드 to투 as애즈 the^ð더 "President"),프^r레저덴트 and앤드 persons퍼슨즈 commissioned커미션드 by바이 the^ð더 Prime프^r라임 Minister미너스터 from^f프^r럼 among어멍 those^ð도우즈 who후 fall^f폴 under언더 any에니 of어^v브 the^ð더 following:^f팔로잉

④제2항의 규정에 따른 위촉위원장 및 제3항의 규정에 따른 위촉위원의 임기는 3년으로 한다.

⑤ 정책위원회의 효율적 운영 및 지원을 위하여 정책위원회에 간사위원 1명을 두며, 간사위원은 공정거래위원회위원장이 된다. <개정 2017.10.31>

⑥ 국무총리는 제3항 각 호의 위촉위원이 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우에는 해당 위원을 해촉(解囑)할 수 있다. <신설 2017.10.31>

⑦ 정책위원회의 사무를 처리하기 위하여 공정거래위원회에 사무국을 두고, 그 조직ㆍ구성 및 운영 등에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다. <신설 2017.10.31>
