소비자기본법 제38조(임원 및 임기)

①한국소비자원에 원장ㆍ부원장 및 제51조의 규정에 따른 소비자안전센터의 소장(이하 "소장"이라 한다) 각 1인을 포함한 10인 이내의 이사와 감사 1인을 둔다.

②원장ㆍ부원장ㆍ소장 및 대통령령이 정하는 이사는 상임으로 하고 그 밖의 임원은 비상임으로 한다.

(2) The^ð더 President,프^r레저덴트 the^ð더 Vice^v바이스 President,프^r레저덴트 the^ð더 Director,더^r렉터 and앤드 directors더^r렉터즈 prescribed프^r리스크^r라이브드 by바이 Presidential프^r레저덴실 Decree디크^r리 shall섈 be비 standing스탠딩 officers,오^f퍼서즈 and앤드 the^ð디 other어^ð더 officers오^f퍼서즈 shall섈 be비 non-standing.난-스탠딩

③ 원장은 「공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률」 제29조에 따른 임원추천위원회(이하 이 조에서 "임원추천위원회"라 한다)가 복수로 추천한 사람 중에서 공정거래위원회 위원장의 제청으로 대통령이 임명한다. <개정 2016.3.29>

⑥ 감사는 임원추천위원회가 복수로 추천하여 「공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률」 제8조에 따른 공공기관운영위원회의 심의ㆍ의결을 거친 사람 중에서 재정경제부장관의 제청으로 대통령이 임명한다. <개정 2016.3.29, 2025.10.1>
