재외국민보호를 위한 영사조력법 시행령 제18조(유실물의 처리)

① 재외공관의 장은 주재국 법령의 범위에서 법 제17조에 따라 그 유실자 또는 소유자에게 유실물이 반환될 수 있도록 노력해야 한다.

② 재외공관의 장은 법 제17조에 따른 유실물을 습득한 날부터 2개월간 재외공관에 보관하고, 해당 사실을 해당 재외공관 인터넷 홈페이지에 게시해야 한다.

③ 재외공관의 장은 제2항의 기간 동안 유실물의 반환을 요구하는 사람이 있으면 구두 또는 서면으로 유실자 또는 소유자임을 확인한 후에 유실물을 반환해야 한다.

(3) Where웨어 a어 person퍼슨 demands디맨즈 return^r리턴 of어^v브 lost로스트 property프^r라퍼티 during두^r링 the^ð더 period피^r리어드 under언더 paragraph패^r러그^r래^f프 (2), the^ð더 head헤드 of어^v브 the^ð디 overseas오우^v버시즈 diplomatic디플러매틱 mission미션 shall섈 return^r리턴 the^ð더 lost로스트 property프^r라퍼티 after애^f프터 verifying^v베^r러^f파이잉 orally오^r럴리 or오 in인 writing^r라이팅 that^ð댓 the^ð더 person퍼슨 is이즈 the^ð더 loser루저 or오 owner.오우너

④ 재외공관의 장은 제2항의 기간 동안 해당 유실물의 반환 요구가 없으면 외교부장관이 정하여 고시하는 바에 따라 경찰청장에게 이송하거나 유실물 소재지 법령에 따라 주재국 관계 기관에 이송 또는 폐기할 수 있다.

⑤ 재외공관의 장은 제4항에 따라 이송 또는 폐기한 경우 해당 사실을 재외공관 인터넷 홈페이지에 게시하고, 경찰청장에게 경찰청의 유실물에 관한 정보를 제공하는 인터넷 홈페이지에 해당 사실을 게시하여 줄 것을 요청해야 한다.
