정부조직법 제12조(국무회의)

① 대통령은 국무회의 의장으로서 회의를 소집하고 이를 주재한다.

② 의장이 사고로 직무를 수행할 수 없는 경우에는 부의장인 국무총리가 그 직무를 대행하고, 의장과 부의장이 모두 사고로 직무를 수행할 수 없는 경우에는 재정경제부장관이 겸임하는 부총리, 과학기술정보통신부장관이 겸임하는 부총리 및 제29조제1항에 규정된 순서에 따라 국무위원이 그 직무를 대행한다. <개정 2014.11.19, 2025.10.1>

③ 국무위원은 정무직으로 하며 의장에게 의안을 제출하고 국무회의의 소집을 요구할 수 있다.

(3) Members멤버즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 State스테잇 Council카운슬 shall섈 be비 political펄리터클 appointees,어포인티즈 and앤드 they^ð데이 may메이 submit서브밋 bills빌즈 to투 the^ð더 chair체어 and앤드 request^r리퀘스트 that^ð댓 the^ð더 State스테잇 Council카운슬 be비 convened.컨^v빈드

④ 국무회의의 운영에 관하여 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
