평생교육법 제38조(지식ㆍ인력개발 관련 평생교육시설)

① 국가 및 지방자치단체는 지식정보의 제공과 교육훈련을 통한 인력개발을 주된 내용으로 하는 지식ㆍ인력개발사업을 진흥ㆍ육성하여야 한다.

② 제1항에 따른 지식ㆍ인력개발사업을 경영하는 자 중 대통령령으로 정하는 자는 평생교육시설을 설치ㆍ운영할 수 있다.

③ 제2항에 따른 지식ㆍ인력개발사업과 관련하여 평생교육시설을 설치하고자 하는 자는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 교육감에게 신고하여야 한다. 이를 폐쇄하고자 하는 경우에는 그 사실을 교육감에게 통보하여야 한다.
