가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률 제38조(신고의 최고)

① 시ㆍ읍ㆍ면의 장은 신고를 게을리 한 사람을 안 때에는 상당한 기간을 정하여 신고의무자에 대하여 그 기간 내에 신고할 것을 최고(催告)하여야 한다. <개정 2023.7.18>

② 신고의무자가 제1항의 기간 내에 신고를 하지 아니한 때에는 시ㆍ읍ㆍ면의 장은 다시 상당한 기간을 정하여 최고할 수 있다.

③ 제18조제2항은 제2항의 최고를 할 수 없는 때 및 최고를 하여도 신고를 하지 아니한 때에, 같은 조 제3항은 국가 또는 지방자치단체의 공무원이 신고를 게을리 한 사람이 있음을 안 때에 준용한다.
