의무경찰대 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률 시행령 제14조(의무경찰의 진급)

① 임용권자는 진급최저복무기간이 지난 의무경찰을 1계급씩 진급시킨다. 다만, 특경은 수경 중 의무경찰대의 분대장 요원으로 선발되어 육군부사관학교 또는 중앙경찰학교 등 경찰청장 또는 해양경찰청장이 정하는 교육기관에서 정해진 교육을 이수한 사람 중에서 진급시킨다. <개정 2014.11.19, 2015.11.20, 2017.7.26>

② 제1항에 따른 의무경찰의 진급최저복무기간은 다음 각 호와 같다. 다만, 경찰청장 또는 해양경찰청장은 전시ㆍ사변이 발생하거나 그 밖에 결원 보충을 위하여 필요하다고 인정될 때에는 국방부장관의 동의를 받아 진급최저복무기간을 단축할 수 있다. <개정 2014.11.19, 2015.11.20, 2017.7.26, 2019.8.27>

③ 임용권자는 진급최저복무기간에 도달한 소속 의무경찰에 대하여 그 다음 달 1일자로 진급 발령한다. <개정 2015.11.20>
