① 삶과 죽음의 의미와 가치를 널리 알리고 범국민적 공감대를 형성하며 호스피스를 적극적으로 이용하고 연명의료에 관한 환자의 의사를 존중하는 사회 분위기를 조성하기 위하여 매년 10월 둘째 주 토요일을 "호스피스의 날"로 한다.
