Regulations on Payment of Honorary Retirement Allowances, etc. for National Public Officials, Article 6 (Application for Honorary Retirement Allowance)

① 명예퇴직수당을 지급받으려는 사람은 제5조제1항에 따른 신청기간 내에 별지 제1호서식의 명예퇴직수당 지급신청서에 다음 각 호의 서류를 첨부하여 소속기관의 장을 거쳐 소속 중앙행정기관의 장에게 제출하여야 한다. 이 경우 소속기관의 장이 그 신청기간 내에 신청서를 받은 때에는 소속 중앙행정기관의 장이 받은 것으로 본다. <개정 2019.12.24, 2025.6.2>

② 제1항에도 불구하고 제3조제1항의 명예퇴직수당 지급대상자가 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하고, 명예퇴직 희망일부터 최소한 15일 이전에 신청하는 경우에는 제5조제1항에 따른 신청기간이 아니어도 명예퇴직수당 지급신청을 할 수 있다. 다만, 중앙행정기관의 장이 인사운영상 긴급히 필요한 경우에는 15일의 기간을 줄일 수 있다. <개정 2013.12.11, 2019.12.24, 2021.1.5>

③ 제1항 및 제2항에도 불구하고 제3조제4항에 따라 명예퇴직수당 지급대상이 되는 경우에는 같은 항 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하게 된 때부터 3년 이내에 명예퇴직수당 지급신청을 할 수 있다. 이 경우 명예퇴직수당 지급신청을 할 때에는 별지 제1호서식의 명예퇴직수당 지급신청서에 제1항 각 호의 서류와 제3조제4항 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 사실을 증명할 수 있는 자료를 첨부하여 퇴직 전 소속기관의 장을 거쳐 소속 중앙행정기관의 장에게 제출해야 한다. <신설 2025.6.2>
