Public Official Election Act, Article 53 (Candidacy of Public Officials, etc.)

①다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 사람으로서 후보자가 되려는 사람은 선거일 전 90일까지 그 직을 그만두어야 한다. 다만, 대통령선거와 국회의원선거에 있어서 국회의원이 그 직을 가지고 입후보하는 경우와 지방의회의원선거와 지방자치단체의 장의 선거를 할 때 해당 선거가 실시되는 시ㆍ도 및 같은 시ㆍ도에 속하는 자치구ㆍ시ㆍ군의 의회의원이나 장이 그 직을 가지고 입후보하는 경우(자치구ㆍ시ㆍ군의 의회의원이나 장이 같은 시ㆍ도에 속하는 다른 자치구ㆍ시ㆍ군의 의회의원선거 또는 다른 자치구ㆍ시ㆍ군의 장의 선거에 입후보하는 경우는 제외한다)에는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 1995.4.1, 1995.12.30, 1997.11.14, 1998.4.30, 2000.2.16, 2002.3.7, 2005.8.4, 2010.1.25, 2015.12.24, 2020.12.29, 2026.3.19>
